I have made one thing this fall, a baby doll bed quilt set for my niece's birthday. The doll bed is from Ikea and it came with a little mattress, pillow and blanket. But they were, frankly, ugly and not pink. And they needed to be pink.
I made the new mattress out of two layers of quilt batting and some pink ticking fabric. The pillow insert has the same ticking...
The quilt is an around-the-world pattern that you can see better here...
With the holidays here and a baby due in January I'm not sure how much crafting I'll be doing but this is a start, no?

Hi Jen, So glad you are back!! I have been wondering how you are doing. Good to hear the baby is due in January. I hope all is going well! Looking forward to hearing about the big day! Have a wonderful holiday season!
i was so excited to see your post and your comment on flickr...i've been hoping that the pregnancy has been going well. this is a beautiful gift. take care of you and the future little one.
that doll bed set is FABULOUS! so happy to see your blog all lit up in my bloglines.
as far as crafting while very pregnant, just take it easy. a baby is the biggest, most time-consuming craft project ever, and it is ongoing even after you're done with the baking part! that said, i found embroidery and tiny handsewing projects that didn't involve sitting on the floor pinning patterns or at the sewing machine for very long to be really good toward the end of being preggo. embroidering onesies was particularly fun!
This project is on my list. Yours is lovely. Glad you are back and that your pregnancy is going well. I am due in January too....
Really, this doll bed is too sweet! I have a niece that would love one too. Glad you are doing well, take care!
So cute!
I love the doll bed with the quilt & pillow. I'm kind of addicted to doll quilts myself and have made 2 for Christmas gifts as well as a couple more to try to sell at a craft show next week. I also have my own collection going...Tee Hee Hee!
